After entering any competition it is the obligation of the competitor to return his scorecard, irrespective of disqualification, not finishing a hole, losing a ball, etc. The no-score hole will be regarded (for handicap purposes only) as a double bogey. This will enable the competition to return a more genuine CSS for the day and handicap adjustments to be far more realistic.
The CONGU rules state that
- (a) All cards must be returned in qualifying competitions whether complete or not
- (b) It is expected that every player who enters an 18 hole qualifying competition intends to complete the round. Failure to adhere to these rules could lead to further action, e.g. suspension of rights to play in competitions.
These rules are in force as of now.
